About Miss Williams

I was born and raised in Utah. I attended Layton High School, and went on to graduate from Utah State University with a degree in Elementary Education. I spent my first year teaching at Woodruff Elementary in Logan, Utah. Woodruff is such a fantastic school and I was so lucky to be a part of that comunity. However, I wanted to live somewhere in the Salt Lake Valley to be closer to family and friends. I was thrilled to accept a position at Cottonwood Elementary as a fourth grade teacher. This will be my second year at Cottonwood.

I have always had a love for learning. I would have to say that Math is my favorite subject because numbers have always made sense to me. Science has also been a subject that I have always found thrilling. I love the feeling that you get right before you do an experiment, or that satisfactory feeling of when you hypothesis was correct. Reading is also something that I feel very passionate about. I love that books can take us away from our worries and concerns and transport us to a whole new world. I also love looking for lessons that I can learn from the books that I read. My very favorite books are the Harry Potter series.

When I am not busy doing school work I like to spend my time with friends and family. I love to eat at Cafe Rio and I would eat there every day if I could. My favorite place to be in the whole world has to be Disneyland. There is not a better feeling than being on Main Street with a churro in my hand. Because of my slight obsession with Disneyland I somehow ended up with an annual pass. One of my proudest accomplishments was when I scored over 1,000,000 points on the Buzz Lightyear Astroblasters ride and became a galatic hero.

I grew up loving sports thanks to my dad. Fall has always been my favorite season because that is when football starts. I have always been a Utes fan, however after my stint of time up at USU I also became an Aggie fan. You can always bet that Saturdays in the fall I will be watching and cheering on the Utes and Aggies. Not only do I love football but basketball as well. I consider myself a Jazz fan, though I love watching any team play.

I am excited to get to know all of you better this next school year!
